On July 4th most people know to expect that government offices will be closed and that’s the case in Rockland. County offices are closed on Thursday and will reopen on Friday, July 5.

Clarkstown Town Hall is closed July 4th. Clarkstown Mini Trans does not operate on July 4th and there is no garbage or recycling pick up. Collections will take place on the next regularly scheduled day. Town hall and mini trans will return to their regular schedules on Friday.

The New City Library is closed July 4th and will open at 11 a.m. on Friday. The Nanuet Library will be closed on Thursday and reopen at 10 a.m. on Friday.
On July 4th, Germonds Pool will open from noon to 8:45 p.m., Congers Pool will open from noon until 6:45 p.m. and Lake Nanuet Pool will be open from 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Orangetown municipal offices are closed Thursday as are the Pearl River and Nyack libraries.
The New York Stock Market and NASDAQ are closed on Independence Day as are U.S. Post Office branches. The Palisades Center will open from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
