2 Nassau Students Are Among The Best In Nationwide Math Competition

EAST WILLISTON, NY — A pair of Wheatley School students have achieved an academic milestone.

Eighth-grader Jaden Zhu and senior Dian Yang are among the top 2.5 percent of all participants in the American Mathematics Competition— a challenging test of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

More than 300,000 students from across the nation participate in the prestigious competition each year.

Zhu and Yang earned an invitation to the highly selective American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME).
