2 Women Attacked With Knife After Robber Climbs Through Their Window On LI: PD
They found him in their home early Wednesday morning, police say.
ELMONT, NY — Two women were attacked with a knife after a Queens man climbed through a window of their home and tried to rob them, police said.
According to Nassau County police, the incident took place on Wednesday at 6:55 a.m. on Waldorf Avenue in Elmont.
Two women, 29 and 70, were at home when they discovered an unknown man, who had entered through the window, was inside, police said. He began a verbal altercation, demanding money, before attacking the women with a knife, police said.

During the physical altercation, both females sustained lacerations before a 29-year-old male resident was able to disarm the attacker, police said.
The intruder then fled the scene but was soon located and placed under arrest by responding officers without further incident, police said.

Both women were transported by a Nassau County Police ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment and are currently in stable condition, police said.
Franklyn Ramos, 62, was also transported by a Nassau County Police ambulance to a nearby hospital for assessment and treatment, police said. Ramos was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree burglary; second-degree assault; third-degree criminal possession of a weapon; and possession of burglars' tools, police said.
He will be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
