Puppy, Worth $5.4K, Stolen From New Hyde Park Pet Store: Police

A man, woman and child took a 4-month-old Boston Terrier from The Left Paw Puppies on Wednesday, Nassau police said.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A 4-month-old Boston Terrier puppy was stolen from a New Hyde Park pet store, Nassau police said. A woman, who was with a boy, took the puppy from The Left Paw Puppies on Jericho Turnpike around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police said.

The puppy is described as a 15-pound black and white male with a white stripe on his stomach. "Pip" is valued at $5,400, according to police.

The boy was also seen in the store before the theft with a man, described as a bearded man wearing a black jacket. The woman was wearing a black top and jeans, police said, and the three left in a gray four-door pickup truck.
