Long Island Children's Museum
Price: General admission is $14; free for kids under 12 months
What to expect: Interactive activities and whimsical exhibits
A trip to the Long Island Children's Museum can easily turn into an all-day affair. Inside, you'll find 14 interactive exhibits, a live theater, and multiple art spaces that will keep your kids entertained (and hopefully tucker them out) for hours. It's also got a great view, a fishing pier, and a promenade for residents who want to walk along the waterfront.
