Arcangelo Wins The 155th Belmont Stakes With Trainer Jena Antonucci
Jena Antonucci becomes the first female trainer to win a Triple Crown race with thoroughbred winner Arcangelo.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY — Arcangelo took home the $1.5 million purse in the 155th running of the Belmont Stakes in Elmont. Arcangelo's trainer, Jena Antonucci, became the first female horse trainer to win a Triple Crown race.
Jockey Javier Castellano who rode Mage to victory in the Kentucky Derby was able to outpace the field of nine horses for another race win in the Triple Crown series. Castellano broke away from the pack with the thoroughbred at the top of the stretch of the mile and half race, landing Antonucci her victory.
