Bicyclist, 77, Killed In Hit-And-Run Nassau Crash: Police

ELMONT, NY — A bicyclist was struck by a SUV and killed on Tuesday night in Elmont, police said.

The victim, a 77-year-old man, was riding his bicycle northbound on Meacham Avenue near Mcclure Avenue, police said.

Just before 9:30 p.m., he was hit by a light-colored SUV. The driver fled north on Meacham Avenue, police said.

The victim died at an area hospital.

Police are investigating. The public is asked to contact Nassau County Police with any information about the crash at 516-573-7788.
