Car Crashes Into Nassau Nail Salon, Drunken Driver Arrested: PD

The nail salon was unoccupied, though extensive damage was done to the building, police say.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A drunken driver was arrested after Nassau police said he crashed into a nail salon in New Hyde Park early Friday.

Antonio Fleming, 28, of South Floral Park, crashed his 2024 Acura sedan into Touch of Class II, a nail salon located at 18 Jericho Turnpike, around 1:10 a.m., police said.

Officers found the unoccupied sedan which struck the nail salon, causing extensive damage to the building, police said. The building was unoccupied, police said.

Officers found Fleming walking away from the collision and arrested him following an investigation, police said.

Fleming was charged with DWI, DWAI, and resisting arrest. He is set to be arraigned on Friday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
