Car Thieves Flee After Maserati Strikes Van, Home In Floral Park

An 11-year-old was injured in the crash.

Three people inside a stolen Maserati fled the scene after police say the vehicle struck a minivan, a house and injured an 11-year-old girl in South Floral Park on Saturday.

According to authorities, a 2000 Ford Windstar stopped on Chelsea Street to make a left turn when the vehicle was struck by a 2015 Maserati traveling eastbound after it failed to stop at the stop sign at 12:35 p.m.

The Maserati then struck a street sign, drove through a backyard fence and struck a house on Marguerite Avenue, police say. Three people, two men and one woman, exited the Maserati and fled the scene on foot. An investigation revealed that the Maserati was stolen in Manhattan on Friday, police say.
