Nassau Man Points Loaded Gun At 2 Teens: Police
William Stegman faces charges that include menacing and endangering the welfare a child, police said.

ELMONT, NY — An Elmont man has been arrested for pointing a loaded gun at two teenagers, police said.
The incident happened Monday evening at the 99 Cents & Up Deal on Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont, authorities said.
William Stegman, 59, peered over his rear fence and pointed a loaded Smith and Wesson handgun at the 16 year old boys, police said.

They ran home and told their parents who contacted police. An investigation led to Stegman's arrest at his residence, authorities said.
He is charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, second-degree menacing and two counts of endangering the welfare a child, police said.

Stegman is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
