Facelift Complete At North Hempstead Dog Park
Renovations at Michael J. Tully Park include an expanded play area and new turf for local canines.
NEW HYDE PARK, NY — Upgrades to North Hempstead Dog Park will be unveiled on Thursday.
The dog park at Michael J. Tully Park hadn't been updated since its initial opening in 2019. Renovations include an expanded play area and new turf for local canines.
Work was funded through the American Rescue Plan Act, a government stimulus bill to help improve local infrastructure following the coronavirus pandemic.

The project was completed nearly two weeks of schedule, the Town of North Hempstead said.
Michael J. Tully Park is located at 1801 Evergreen Ave. in New Hyde Park.
