First Performers Revealed For VMA Awards At UBS Arena
The awards will take place on Sunday, Sept. 7.

ELMONT, NY — With the MTV Video Music Awards approaching next month at UBS Arena, the first performers and honorees have been revealed.
Busta Rhymes will receive the first-ever MTV VMA Rock the Bells Visionary Award, celebrating a career spanning 20 million albums worldwide.
Ricky Martin will become the first artist to receive the Latin Icon Award. Martin is a multi-Grammy and Latin Grammy Award winner with more than 70 million albums sold.

Sabrina Carpenter, following a show-stopping debut and first “VMA” win for Song of the Year in 2024, is expected to perform again. Carpenter is up for eight awards this year, including Video of the Year ("Manchild").
Internationally acclaimed, breakout singer-songwriter and producer sombr will make his award show debut on the VMA stage, also receiving first-time nominations for Best New Artist and Best Alternative for his hit “Back to Friends.”

Breakout singer-songwriter Alex Warren will make his VMAs debut. He's nominated for Best New Artist, Best Pop and Song of the Year, for his global number one "Ordinary.
It was announced last week that LL Cool J will host the Sept. 7 awards, the first time it will be broadcast on CBS.
Additional performers, presenters and special guests will be announced in the coming weeks.
