Girl Scouts of Nassau County Announces New Hyde Park Resident to Serve on Board Development Committee

Girl Scouts of Nassau County announced today that New Hyde Park resident Clara Giustino has been nominated to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board Development Committee through 2026. Clara Giustino was sworn in during the organization’s 59th Annual Meeting, which was held at the Ruth S. Harley University Center on the Adelphi University campus. Girl Scouts of Nassau County’s Board of Directors and Board Development Committee comprises lifelong Girl Scouts, community leaders, and nonprofit and corporative executives who provide leadership, innovation and constant support to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County council.
“Girl Scouts of Nassau County is proud to have such prestigious and accomplished members on its Board of Directors and Board Development Committee who inspire and empower our Girl Scouts,” said Randell Bynum, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “I am confident that this group of leaders will help cultivate the Girl Scout experience and help fulfill our mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.”

Clara Giustino is the Vice President of Gas Complex Construction at National Grid. In this role, she oversees the management and construction of complex natural gas capital projects. In her 33-year career with National Grid, she has held leadership and individual contributor roles in Operations and Engineering. Clara was the first female Manager in National Grid’s Gas Control organization. She has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA in Finance. Clara immigrated from the Dominican Republic as a young child along with her family. Clara is published in the American Gas Association Operating Section Proceedings as a co-author for her work in vacuum technology. She is also a member of The Energeia Partnership at Molloy College. Clara serves as a mentor and frequent contributor to National Grid’s Grid For Good and Young Women’s Leadership Conference. She is the mother of a Gold Award Girl Scout and Alum.
