With a major blizzard approaching, Herricks school officials have announced an early dismissal for elementary and middle school students on Monday.
Here are the details from the New Hyde Park School District
Due to inclement weather, for the safety of everyone, we are having an early dismissal today, Monday, January 26, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. Please be sure to pick up your child at their school by 1:00 p.m.

We are cancelling school for Tuesday January 27 in light of the weather forecast. Wednesday is up in the air depending upon the strength, duration and timing of the storm and the ability of local authorities to clear roads. We will decide about Wednesday sometime during the day tomorrow.
Monday 1-26-2015 - Early Dismissal
Revised Exam Schedule - High School
Given that we will be dismissing today at 1:40, we have revised today’s exam schedule as follows.
All 7:30 exams will take place as scheduled.
All 10:00 Algebra, Algebra Plus and Algebra ID mid-term exams will take place as scheduled.
The following 12:30 exams are cancelled: World 10 Mid-term, Global 10 Mid-term, English 1 Diagnostic Exam.
The English Regents Exam originally scheduled for 12:30 will begin at 7:30.
The Physical Setting/ Physics, Regents Exam is cancelled.
A revised exam schedule will be posted tomorrow.
From the Sewanhaka Central School District:
All schools will be CLOSED Tuesday, January 27, 2015 due to the weather conditions.
All after school activities are also canceled.Regents exams that were canceled as a result of school closings will be rescheduled later in the week. Click here for the adjusted testing schedule.
