Man Impersonates Police Officer In Nassau: Police
Police said Seth Newman was seen on Sunday afternoon flashing lights in his car and turning on a siren.
NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A Great Neck was arrested on Sunday afternoon impersonating a police officer, authorities said.
Seth Newman, 21, while driving a 2021 black Dodge Charger in the vicinity of Marcus Avenue and New Hyde Park Road, activated flashing lights and a siren, police said.
Newman was observed with what appeared to be a black handgun near his hip and identified himself as a Homeland Security Officer, police said.

A short time later, Newman located in the parking lot of King Kullen in Garden City Park, was placed under arrest without, police said.
Newman is charged with second-degree criminal impersonation and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

He was released on an appearance ticket to return on Nov. 7.
