Nassau Man Dies After Hit-And-Run Crash: Police
Police arrested the driver, who fled the scene, authorities say.
ELMONT, NY — A man who was struck by a vehicle on Friday in Elmont has died, police said.
According to Nassau County police, Lennox Leonard, 57, of Elmont, died on New Year's Eve at about 1:15 p.m.
Earlier, the homicide squad arrested Oscar Guzman, 49, of Elmont; he was charged with leaving the scene of a serious vehicular crash with injury and was arraigned Saturday, police said.

Police said Leonard was crossing Hempstead Turnpike near the intersection of Locustwood Boulevard Friday, where he was struck by a 2010 Nissan Pathfinder traveling westbound on Hempstead Turnpike.
He sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was currently listed in critical condition until his death Tuesday, police said.
