Nassau Man Violates Probation As Weapons, Ammunition Found In Home: Police
Gregg Banwer faces charges that include 10 counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

LAKE SUCCESS, NY — A Lake Success man was arrested after high-capacity magazines, ammunition and weapons were recovered from his residence, police said.
The Nassau County Probation Department conducted an investigation and Gregg Banwer, 58, was placed into custody for violating the conditions of his probation, police said.
Subsequent to the investigation, officers executed a search warrant of his home and recovered ammunition, high-capacity magazines, edged weapons and assorted M Type cardboard devices
containing energetic material from a storage unit located at Westy Storage in New Hyde Park, authorities said.

Banwer is charged with 10 counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, 12 counts of violation of probation, three counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of storage of explosives, police said.
He was scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
