StretchLab Opens Second Long Island Location In New Hyde Park

StretchLab​​ offers customized assisted-stretch sessions by trained "flexologists."

NEW HYDE PARK, NY — StretchLab, which offers customized assisted-stretch sessions, has opened its second Long Island location in New Hyde Park.

According to Newsday, husband-and-wife duo Christopher Parra and Suzanne Kraemer-Parra opened StretchLab in January.

"At first, I wanted to open a gym, but gym competition is pretty fierce," fitness instructor and trainer Kraemer-Parra told Newsday. "This seemed out of the box just enough."

At StretchLab, "flexologists" will assist and guide you through a series of seated and standing stretches, according to its website. They'll also show you how to work with stretching tools like stretch straps and foam rollers.

First-time customers can try StretchLab for $39 for 25 minutes and $59 for 50. Then, walk-in prices are $60 for 25 minutes and $115 for 50, according to Newsday. Packages start at $189 a month for four 25-minute stretches and go up to $619 a month for eight 50-minute stretches.

In addition to New Hyde Park, there is a StretchLab located in Woodbury. Other locations outside of Long Island include Queens, Scarsdale, NY, and Ridgewood, NJ.
