
On Jan. 16, the New Hyde Park Memorial High School chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America attended the annual FBLA Spring District Meeting at Molloy College in Rockville Centre.
At the meeting, 18 New Hyde Park students competed against other schools in Nassau County in various business related events. The results of the competition are as follows:
- Jailene Ramsaroop, 1st Place, Intro to Word Processing
- Nick Kofler, 1st Place, Personal Finance
- Veronica Solis, 3rd Place, Basic Decision Making
- Nick Kofler, 3rd Place, Banking/Financial Systems
- Marianna Nicolini, 3rd Place, Business Law
- Michael Chan, 4th Place, Economics
- Josh Rayappa, 4th Place, Accounting 1
- Mariam Ali, 4th Place, Bus. Calculations
- Elizabeth Duong, 5th Place, Bus. Calculations
- Abby Sollecito, 5th Place, Hospitality Management
- Marianna Nicolini, 5th Place, Client Services
As a result, New Hyde Park’s FBLA have been invited to attend the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Rochester, New York on April 15-18. Principal Dr. Richard Faccio congratulates the competitors on their performances and wishes them luck in the upcoming competition.
