NEW HYDE PARK, NY — Target plans to open a much bigger store at the Lake Success Shopping Center in New Hyde Park.

Newsday reports the company had initially planned to take over two levels of the defunct Sears department store on Union Turnpike. But now it wants to occupy all three levels of the former Sears space. That's about 115,000 square feet, according to Newsday.

It is unclear when exactly the store will open and how many people it will employ.
