Town Of Hempstead Safety Department Building Burglarized: Police

The person gained access to the Elmont building by breaking a second-floor window, police said.

ELMONT, NY — A burglary was reported on Tuesday night in Elmont, police said.

Officers responded to the Town of Hempstead Safety Department, where an unknown person broke into the building from second-floor rear window, police said.

An investigation revealed that an iPhone charger and adapter had been removed from the office, police said. The person fled in an unknown direction. The investigation is ongoing.
