Voter's Guide: Sewanhaka 2018-19 School Budget, Board Election

​What you need to know for election day.

Residents in the Sewanhaka Central High School District will vote on the school district's $198,615,864 proposed budget for the 2018-19 school year on Tuesday, May 15.

The proposal calls for a 2.87 percent increase in spending over the current year and the tax levy increase is 1.09 percent, which is within the tax levy cap.

  • Elmont UFSD: vote from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at your designated polling place.
  • Floral Park-Bellerose UFSD: vote from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the John Lewis Childs and Floral Park-Bellerose Schools.
  • Franklin Square UFSD: Vote from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the John Street School, Polk Street School and Washington Street School.
  • New Hyde Park-Garden City Park: Vote from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Michael J. Tully Park, located at 1801 Evergreen Ave.
