Armed Muggers Tried To Bind Victims With Duct Tape On Waterfront
Police are urging neighbors to "stay vigilant" after the latest armed robbery along the New Rochelle Sound Shore.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A terrifying overnight armed robbery along the city's Long Island Sound shore, has left the victims and neighbors shaken.
On Monday, shortly before 3 a.m., New Rochelle police responded to a report of a robbery in progress on Pelham Road. The call was made by a witness who reported hearing and seeing suspicious activity that appeared to be a robbery.
Once on the scene, officers saw a White Ford F-150 Lightning fleeing the scene at high speed. Despite attempts to pursue, visual contact with the vehicle was lost, police said.

Officers met with two victims who reported being robbed at gunpoint by three suspects. The perpetrators, each brandishing a black handgun, stole luxury products valued at over $45,000, car keys, and an iPhone, according to police.
According to the victims, the scary incident took place as they parked and exited their vehicle. The suspects ambushed them and attempted to restrain them with duct tape. The victims managed to break free, prompting the perpetrators to flee in the pickup.

The New Rochelle Police Department said it is investigating the armed robbery and seeking information regarding the White Ford F-150 Lightning and the three suspects. "The safety of our community remains our top priority," the NRPD said in a statement detailing the incident. "We encourage residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately."
