Crimes Nearby: Drug Possession, Aggravated DWI, Unlicensed Operation

The following information was supplied by various town police departments. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Miller Place-Rocky Point:


Sylvia Hurst, 61, of Bay Shore was arrested Sept. 16 in Rocky Point and charged with second degree criminal contempt. Reports indicate Hurst allegedly violated an order of protection.    


Ryan McNeill, 28, of Rocky Point was arrested Sept. 15 in Rocky Point and charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Reports indicate McNeill was arrested for the alleged operation of a 1994 Ford Explorer without a license on Hawthorne Ave., at approximately 3:50 p.m.

Riverhead:

Burglary
An unknown suspect or suspects stole two handguns from a bedside table drawer at a house on Ostrander Avenue on Sept. 21. Police said they responded to a man who lives at the home who said a .38 caliber Smith and Wesson pistol and a .22 caliber Jennings pistol were taken from his drawer. The man said nothing else was disturbed from the residence, according to a police report. Police are investigating the incident.

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

Two cyclists were arrested in Flanders and Riverside on Monday and charged with possession of illegal drugs in two unrelated incidents, according to Southampton Police.

At about 7:00 p.m., police said they saw Brian Kizielewicz, age 29, riding his bike "in an erratic manner" on Flanders Road. Police stopped Kizielewicz and found he was under the influence of an unknown drug, police said. He was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana, PCP, and heroin, according to a police report.

Kizielewicz was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal
possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, one count of unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation and one count of appearing in public under the influence of other than alcohol.

He was transported to police headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment. Kizielewicz was the second cyclist police said was found with drugs on Monday.

Police stopped Shawanna James, 39, of Riverhead at about 3:00 a.m. for not having front or back lights on her bike. When police stopped James, she said she had a crack pipe in her purse, according to a  police report. Police said they then found crack cocaine in a Mentos container. James was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. She was also transported to police headquarters and held for morning arraignment.

East Hampton:

Jose M. Tacuri, 22, of East Hampton, was arrested after he allegedly drove with a suspended license and gave a fake name to police on Sept. 20. When police checked his name against DMV records, they found his license had been suspended three times, one of which was alcohol related and his car was impounded.

Darryl D. Privott, 40, of East Hampton, was arrested on a charge of second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor, after allegedly violating an order of protection on Sept. 21. Privott reportedly placed a phone call to someone whom East Hampton Town Justice Catherine A. Cahill ordered him to have no contact with on May 31. Justice Cahill arraigned him the following day and released him on his own recognizance.


Christopher Fallon, 24, of Montauk, was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge on Sept. 21. Just after noon, police said they saw Fallon with a lit marijuana cigarette as he was riding in the passenger side of a 2002 Chevrolet that was stopped at the intersection of The Plaza and Montauk Highway. The vehicle was pulled over. Fallon was charged, police said, with fifth-degree possession of marijuana. He was released on his own recognizance and is due for arraignment on Oct. 13.

Westhampton-Hampton Bays:


used pepper spray to subdue a 19-year-old Hampton Bays man who swung his fist at an officer at in Hampton Bays early Saturday morning. He was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration, both misdemeanors. He was also charged with  disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment, both violations. http://patch.com/A-mxH6

Aggravated DWI


Eugenio Guevara-Martinez, 32, of Hampton Bays was arrested Friday at 4:14 p.m. at the corner of Ponquogue Avenue and Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Guevara-Martinez was stopped for driving out of lane.


Antonio Campohermoso, 28, of Southampton was arrested Friday at 11:29 p.m. at the corner of Flanders Road and Sunrise Highway in Hampton Bays and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Campohermoso was stopped for changing lanes without using his blinker.


Tecum Sebastian, 36, of Hampton Bays was arrested Sunday at 10:56 p.m. on County Road 31 in Westhampton and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, and aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Sebastian was stopped for a traffic violation when police discovered he was intoxicated and that his license had been suspended.

Southampton:  

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

Pascal Leader, 23, of Amagansett was arrested Monday at 5:06 a.m. by at the corner of Brick Kiln Road and Noyac Road in unincorporated Sag Harbor and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. said Leader was spotted sleeping in his car along Brick Kiln Road. Police then discovered Leader had Xanax pills that were not in an approved container, according to the arrest report.
