Jan. 26: Calling All Moms, Music Together, Baby Rhyme Time

Here are five things for your family-friendly Wednesday.

North Fork Patch is dedicated to covering all things North Fork, which includes news, weather, and sports — and where to take your kids to play lego. Over the next few days, we'll shine much more of a spotlight on family-friendly activities for all you moms out there to make your lives that much more fun and informed. Check out these events and features:

1. It's never too early to help your baby dance and sing. in Southold hosts a session of music and movement for parents and children this morning at 10:30 a.m. Call 631-765-9118.

2. Enhance your child's developmental skills at at the a weekly session geared toward newborns to kids 12 months old happening every Wednesday at 11 a.m. Call 631-298-4134.

3. Mattituck Laurel Library is also hosting a geared toward 5th and 6th graders tonight at 5:30 p.m., where students will construct a robot of their own. Call 631-298-4134 to register.

4. Why do your kids behave the way they do? , 423 Griffing Ave in Riverhead, is hosting a lecture on the developmental stages of young children up to 5 years old this morning at 9 a.m. Call  631-727-7850.

5. Are you a parent? Do you like to come up with story ideas and write? North Fork Patch is looking for a "Mom Council" to generate informative content to post on the website every Wednesday  — where to find deals, profiles of incredible and accomplished kids and general info on what it's like to be a local parent.
