Jan. 29: Music, History, Dogs and Vines

There's nothing like an activity-filled weekend on the North Fork.

Wineries are starting to kick into high gear again as the weekends in winter progress:

1. Check out live music by Ludmilla Brazil at 1 p.m. at Sparkling Pointe Winery in Southold. Admission is free. Call 631-765-0200 for details.

2. The Knights of Columbus Hall in Cutchogue hosts an evening of Doo-Wop music featuring the band Sahara from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Admission is $25 and there will be a cash bar. Call 631-734-5901 or 631-298-8700 for details.

3. Cut a rug, literally, at the  "Art & Craft of Rug Hooking with Gail Horton" from 2 to 5 p.m. Call 631-323-2480 for details.

4. hosts a youth art exhibit, "Students View American Still Life," from  2 to 4 p.m., featuring artwork from Greenport students in grades K-12. Call 631-477-0660 for details.
