Police Report: Two DWI Charges
Southold Town Police report two incidents of driving while intoxicated this week, one occurring after a car accident involving four parked cars in Greenport.

Paul Mittleman, 47, of Greenport was charged with driving while intoxicated on Nov. 16 at 8:49 p.m. in Greenport, after he struck four parked vehicles on Middleton Road and then left the scene without turning on the headlights of his 2002 Dodge pickup truck, police said. Police located Mittleman and found him to be intoxicated after he failed roadside sobriety tests.
Otto Pirir, 36, of Peconic was charged with DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle on Sunday at 5:23 p.m., after police stopped him for a traffic violation on Route 25 in Southold. Pirir's vehicle was impounded due to a prior DWI conviction.
None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were charged with the above offenses. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
