Sept. 27: Town Board Tuesday
Here are five items on the table at Southold Town work session and meeting.

Members of the will hear feedback about the Town’s comprehensive plan and 2012 budget plan at 9 a.m. work session and 7:30 p.m. meeting on Tuesday.
1. The town’sand community character will once again be hashed out at morning work session. Deputy Supervisor Phillip Beltz and planner Mark Terry will bring ideas to the table.
2. Supervisor Scott Russell will discuss the highlights and lowlights of his , which includes a proposed 2.79 percent tax hike, during the morning session as well.

3. A proposal for stop signs at certain points on Nassau Point Road will be set for public hearing on Tuesday after the 7:30 p.m. meeting.
4. The Town plans to pass a resolution to accept $110,500 from the County of , which was used for housing rehabilitation and to help fund homeless shelter programs like . The amount of funding was slashed from $130,000 for Southold Town early in the summer.

5. Board members also plan to vote on spending $11,055.46 on new tires for a Volvo payloader for the at their 7:30 p.m. meeting.
