The Town of Southold announced that Single Stream recycling is now available in Southold.
The program is off to a strong start, with recycling up 26% over the previous source-separated system.
However, the town reminds residents that plastic bags should not be included with recyclables as they can jam and damage the machinery that sorts the recyclables.
