Employee Accused Of Stealing Funds From Greenport Business: Police

She's facing a felony charge, police say.

GREENPORT, NY — An Aquebogue woman was arrested and accused of stealing funds from a Greenport business where she was employed, police said.

According to Southold Town police, Ellen "Bunni" Buglione, 32, was arrested on December 6 at 1 p.m. in Riverhead and charged with second-degree larceny, a felony, police said.

The arrest follows a long-term larceny investigation in which Buglione was accused of stealing funds from Ellen’s on Front, a business located in Greenport, during her employment there, police said.

The investigation was conducted by the Southold Town Police Department's detective division, with assistance from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, police said.

Anyone with information that may assist in the investigation, or who believes they may be a victim, is asked to contact the Southold Police Department's detective division, police said.
