SOUTHOLD, NY — A new lecture series is launching Sunday in Southold to help raise awareness about Post-traumatic stress disorder experienced by military men and women.

Southold American Legion Post 803 Griswold Terry Glover, located at 51655 Main Road, will host the "Be the One" event Sunday at 2 p.m.
The lecture will spotlight FDNY Lt. Joseph Torrillo, who was buried alive on 9/11. "His account of that fateful day plus his survival will astound you," the Legion said.

The lecture is meant to raise awareness about PTSD. "22 military men and women commit suicide each day," the Legion said.
