Video: Eastern Long Island Hospital Takes Over Love Lane for Fundraiser
TWIGS — a local support group for Greenport's Eastern Long Island Hospital — hosted a classy outdoor fundraiser in the middle of Love Lane in Mattiuck this past Friday night.
Wonder why Love Lane in Mattituck was blocked off to traffic this past Friday night?
The tent in the middle of the road housed a private party all in the name of raising funds for Greenport's Eastern Long Island Hospital through an auxiliary support group called TWIGS — meaning "Together We Inspire Growing Community Support."
Members of TWIGS and friends enjoyed jazz, appetizers and drinks before filing into Love Lane Kitchen for dinner.

Constance Connor, founder of TWIGS and wife of hospital president and CEO Paul Conner, said that the outdoor winter event is based on the concept of ice houses.
"And we all participate in throwing a party and raising funds for patient services at the hospital," she said. "Because at one time or another, we've all used them. It's all been a personal experience, and we really appreciate the fact that they are there."
