Weekend Must-Do: North Fork Animal Welfare League BBQ

Help out the Southold Town Animal Shelter while having fun with the family on Saturday.

Love animals? Like a good barbecue?

Then the fifth annual might be just the thing for you on Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. 

The event is a celebration of the group's achievements of the past year. is the nonprofit group that runs the active Southold Town Animal Shelter in Peconic.

Celebrators can dance to live music while enjoying hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, barbecue and vegetarian meals with all the trimmings and a sunset over Long Island Sound in Cutchogue. Lou Corso hosts the event at his residence on Oregon Road. 

All ticket sales go directly to the organization for their ongoing campaign to help provide medical attention and find homes for the abandoned animals of the North Fork and beyond.
