2 Suffolk Men Indicted After Selling Cocaine Out Of Their Home: DA

EAST NORTHPORT, NY — Two East Northport men were indicted after reportedly dealing cocaine out of their home, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said.

Sean P. Kilkelly, 29, and Paul Poschmann, 44, both of East Northport, were indicted on charges including first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance after selling cocaine out of their East Northport residence, the DA said.

According to the investigation, on June 25, members of the Suffolk County Police Department’s narcotics section executed a search warrant at Kilkelly and Poschmann’s residence.

During that search, police recovered more than four ounces of cocaine from Poschmann’s bedroom and over an eighth of an ounce of cocaine from Kilkelly’s bedroom, along with cash and paraphernalia indicative of drug dealing, Tierney said, adding that Poschmann and Kilkelly were arrested at the scene.

On July 10, 2024, Poschmann was arraigned before Supreme Court Justice Richard I. Horowitz on charges contained within the indictment including one count of first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a Class A-I felony; one count of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A-II felony; two counts of second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, Class A-II felonies; two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, Class B felonies; six counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, Class B felonies; and two counts of second degree criminal using drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanors, Tierney said.

Justice Horowitz ordered Poschmann be held on $250,000 cash, $500,000 bond, or $2.5 million partially secured bond during the pendency of the case, the DA said.

On July 18, Kilkelly was arraigned before Justice Horowitz for charges contained within the indictment, including one count of first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a Class A-I felony; two counts of second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, Class A-II felonies; two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, Class B felonies; six counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, Class B felonies; one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class C felony; and one count of second-degree criminal using drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor, Tierney said.

Justice Horowitz ordered Kilkelly be held on $100,000 cash, $200,000 bond, or $500,000 partially secured bond during the pendency of the case, the DA said.

Poschmann is due back in court on August 7, 2024, and faces between up to 20 years in prison if convicted of the top count. He is being represented by Scott Zerner, who could not immediately be reached for comment.

Kilkelly is due back in court on August 22, and faces up to 24 years in prison if convicted of the top count; he is being represented by Ira Weissman, who could not immediately be reached for comment.
