5 Northport Tigers Named Offense-Defense All-Americans

The boys, ages 10 to 12, were invited to participate in the 12th Annual Offense-Defense Bowl taking place in Tampa, Florida.​

Five Northport Youth Football Club members were selected from a group of thousands of athletes across the country to be named Offense-Defense All-Americans.

They received this honor while attending the Offense-Defense Football Camp at Long Island University this summer.

  • Owen Johansen, 12, a fullback & middle linebacker.
  • Preston “PJ” Carey, 10, quarterback and middle linebacker.
  • Brady Cooke, 10, a lineman.
  • Drew Schuttinger, 10, a lineman.
  • Joseph “JoJo” Dechiaro, 12, a running back and middle linebacker.

All five Northport Tigers were invited to participate in the 12th Annual Offense-Defense Bowl taking place in Tampa, Florida.

Cooke and Carey also received this honor in 2015.

The Annual Offense-Defense All-American Bowl includes the 12th Annual All-American game for youth players and the All-Star football game that showcasses 88 of the top high school seniors in the country.

NFL stars such as Cam Newton, Joe Haden, Dez Bryant, and more also received this honor before they were collegiate and pro stars.

Offense-Defense Sports has been seeking out the nation’s top talent through its full-contact football instructional camps for the past 47 years and operates in approximately 80 camp locations nationwide.
