Bonded Kittens Miley And Kylie Hope To Be Adopted Together: Northport Kitties Of The Week
Found huddled together outdoors as tiny kittens, bonded sisters Miley and Kylie survived illness, recovery, and months of waiting.

NORTHPORT, NY — Miley and Kylie, bonded sisters and the Northport Cat Rescue Association’s kittens of the week, have already overcome more than most cats their age.
The sisters were found huddled together outside near a colony in October 2024, clinging to one another as frightened kittens in an uncertain environment, according to Lora Wild, a volunteer with the Northport Cat Rescue Association.
“In the cold and confusion, they did the only thing they knew how to do — they stayed together,” Wild said.

Their journey into rescue was not easy. Just as they seemed to be turning a corner, illnesses repeatedly set them back, testing both their strength and resilience. Throughout each setback, Miley and Kylie remained side by side as they recovered.
“They healed together,” Wild said. “And they showed us that love and companionship really can be powerful medicine.”

Now healthy and thriving, the sisters are ready for the next chapter of their story. While they are still gentle souls who may need a little patience as they adjust to a new home, their personalities continue to shine more each day.
Once she feels safe, Miley leans into affection, eagerly accepting head rubs and flopping over with trust for belly scratches, Wild said. Kylie, her constant companion, happily follows her people around, staying close and seeking connection.
“They adore human companionship and do very well with other cats,” Wild said. “They just need a family willing to give them a little grace as they settle in.”
The sisters have waited longer than many kittens for a place to belong, and Wild said it is important that they be adopted together.
“They’ve already survived so much by leaning on each other,” she said. “Keeping them together gives them the security they’ve always known.”
Miley and Kylie can be visited at Petco Huntington, where they respond well to gentle words and attention.
Both cats are spayed, fully vaccinated, litter box-trained, microchipped, and have tested negative for FELV and FIV.
Those interested in meeting Miley and Kylie can visit the Northport Cat Rescue Association website to complete an application, call 631-606-2631, or email info@northportcatrescue.org.
“They’re ready now,” Wild said. “Ready to love completely — and forever.”
