Arrest Log: DWAIs, Crack Cocaine Possession, Criminal Contempt
Excerpts from the Northport Police Department log.

Thursday, Sept. 20
At 1:12 a.m., Michael Feeney, 36, of Huntington Station, was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after he was pulled over for an unsafe lane change on Fort Salonga Road. Police say he was seen driving a 2000 Toyota eastbound on Fort Salonga Road when he drove into the opposite lane of traffic and came to a complete stop at the intersection of Woodbine Avenue. Feeney refused to stop for an officer trying to initiate a traffic stop, and he drove off at a slow rate of speed on the shoulder until eventually coming to a stop. The officer approached the vehicle and observed that Feeney had a white powder on his lap and on the screen of his cellphone, police say. He was asked to exit the vehicle and he attempted to hide a white rock substance, which later tested positive for crack cocaine, in between his driver seat and center console, police say. Feeney had glassy bloodshot eyes, enlarged pupils, slurred speech, and was unsteady on his feet when he exited the vehicle, police say. Feeney also kicked off his shoe, which contained a clear plastic baggie with a white powder inside and attempted to hide it under the front passenger seat, police say. At the precinct, he did consent to a breath and blood test, Intoxilyzer 9000 breath test at 1:44 a.m. and blew .000 percent, police say. Blood was drawn at 2:44 a.m.
