The Bristal Assisted Living at East Northport recently welcomed the Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk County for an informative Fall Prevention Workshop. More than 50 residents attended the event where they gained essential knowledge on reducing fall risks and safely using mobility aids such as canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
During the workshop, experts shared valuable tips on maintaining balance, proper standing techniques, and safe methods for dressing and walking. The goal was to share practical strategies with residents to enhance their independence and confidence in daily activities.
