East Northport Man Killed In UTV Crash Upstate

An East Northport man was killed in a UTV accident on Saturday in Upstate New York, State Police say.

According to authorities, 53-year-old Jeff Kuhn was the front street passenger in a 2109 Polaris UTV that was traveling northbound on Brand Road in Durham when it failed to turn onto an unpaved road and instead struck a tree at 5:41 p.m.

The UTV was being driven by 51-year-old Lindenhurst resident Scott Colleran, police say. Three other passengers were in the UTV at the time of the crash.

Colleran and another passenger were treated at Columbia Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The two other occupants were not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
