East Northport Student Threatened Mass Harm At Middle School: Police
The 13-year-old girl was arrested after she made threats of mass harm to several students, police say.
EAST NORTHPORT, NY — An East Northport Middle School student was arrested Monday after she made threats of mass harm to several students, Suffolk police said.
Officers responded to East Northport Middle School, at 1075 Fifth Avenue, after a 13-year-old made a verbal threat of mass harm to other students at the school, police said. Officers isolated the girl and investigated, police said. No weapons had been brought to the school, police said.
The girl was arrested at the school around 3 p.m. and brought to the Second Precinct, police said.

The student was charged with threat of mass harm and released to her parents. She will be arraigned in Suffolk County Family Court at a later date.
