Voters Approve Elwood Budget, Elect Trustees
Residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on a school budget and elect board members.
Elwood residents approved a 2018-19 school budget on Tuesday.
The $61,606,082 budget passed with 854 yes votes and 345 no votes, according to the school district. The budget is a 2.11 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 2.71 percent tax levy increase.
Residents also re-elected Heather Mammolito and James Tomeo to the Elwood Board of Education.
