During Elwood Union Free School District’s September Board of Education meeting, two outstanding student athletes were recognized for their success.
Elwood-John Glenn student athlete Justin Tiernan was recognized for his excellence in the sport of lacrosse. In the spring of 2018, Justin was commended by Newsday as one of the All-Long Island second team lacrosse players, and then by New York as an All-NYS second team lacrosse player.
“Justin works hard and plays hard,” said Athletic Director David Shanahan, “and we’re so proud of him for representing our school with pride, dignity and incredible success.”
