'A Giver, A Leader, Empathetic': Northport Star Student-Athlete

NORTHPORT, NY — We all know student-athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

Dylan is a giver, a leader and the most empathetic young man. He is always mentoring others and is a member of the SHARE program at Northport High School. He advocates for diversity and is the founding member of the RISE Committee (promoting racial equality throughout all schools.) Currently, he is on Northport Varsity soccer and Red Bulls travel team. With a 4.0 average and a recipient of the Varsity Academic All-County award given to a student who exemplifies great athletic ability on the team while keeping high academic standards. He is a great kid (If I may say so myself LOL).

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

I want all to know what a fine human he is and that he will help anyone out for any situation.
