He Gives 'Wigs Free Of Charge': Northport Local Hero

NORTHPORT, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Dean is the best example of the fabric of our community, the good in humanity, and the light in someones life. Dean is the second generation in a hair replacement (wig) company, in 2014 he turned it into a not for profit giving wigs free of charge.

One thing to know:
He works constantly and makes the best out of every situation.
