Heroin, Crack, Pills Seized From Home Of Northport Dealer: Police

Police say he sold drugs in Northport and to Northport residents.

A man who sold drugs in Northport was arrested earlier this month after local authorities seized cash, heroin, crack cocaine and a car from his Mastic Beach home, police say.

The Northport Police Department discovered that Andre Wilson, 29, was allegedly selling heroin and other narcotics to Northport residents.

A search warrant was conducted at Wilson’s home on Tuesday, May 8 following a Task Force investigation over the course of several weeks.

Police say the following items were seized: heroin, crack cocaine, Oxycodone and other assorted pills, marijuana, several scales, narcotics packaging materials, $5,245 in cash and a 2010 Nissan Maxima.

Wilson was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana.

The Task Force was made up of Northport and Suffolk police, the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office and the Suffolk County Sherrif’s Office.

“It is important for the public to know that this type of coordination between the various levels of law enforcement in Suffolk occurs on a daily basis and is one of the factors in the crime rates dropping County wide,” Northport Police Chief Bill Ricca said.
