Holiday Cheer Spreads to Elwood

Local children enjoy gifts thanks to a local toy drive.

Children in Elwood are getting some extra holiday cheer.

Assemb. Chad Lupinacci participated in Project Toy at its headquarters in Huntington Station. By partnering with the Family Service League and Tri-Community & Youth Agency, Lupinacci has been collecting unwrapped toys, gift cards, new wrapping paper and financial contributions for children through the age of 13 since the beginning of December. The project takes these donations to help brighten the season for children and families facing challenges in the community this holiday season.

“As always, I was very excited to take part in Project Toy’s annual drive to bring the holiday spirit to those who are struggling in these difficult times,” said Lupinacci. “I cannot thank enough the Family Service League and Tri-Community & Youth Agency for making this process possible.”
