Huge Adoption Event: Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week
Bo, Jade, Frankie, Starry, Mickey, Phantom, Barbie, Ken, Allan, Mitzi and Hope are all looking for loving homes. Want to adopt one or two?
NORTHPORT, NY — Several kittens will be available at the Northport Cat Rescue Association Adoption Event scheduled for noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Elwood Public Library, at 1929 E. Jericho Turnpike, East Northport.
June is adopt a cat month. The rescue is waiving the adoption fee for a second adopted cat for the entire month of June.
"Are you looking for a single cat, already fully grown and personality already known?" said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue. "Maybe handsome Bo, abandoned in a neighborhood, begging for help, or beautiful Jade who came from a hoarding house, will be your choice."

Bo and Jade are both around 2 years old.
"Or could you open your heart to a bonded pair, like 6-month-old kittens Frankie and Starry, best friends who met in foster care and healed each other’s hearts," Wild said. "They are good with other cats and dogs, too."

Phantom and Mickey are bonded brothers who have been waiting and waiting.
There are also young kittens with tons of energy and snuggles like Barbie, Ken or Alan.
Or a sweet and lovely snuggler like Hope.
Mitzi will be there too, an 11-year-old sweetheart whose owner was moving and could not take her with him, according to Wild.
"Her entire life was him and his home, and now sadly she is being left behind," Wild said. "She holds no resentment and still welcomes affection and love."
They will all be there. Many other kittens will be, too.
"So come on down and start off your summer with some new love in your home!" Wild said.
Fill out an application on the Northport Cat Rescue Association website for pre-approval.
"Maybe you will find your new best friend at our event," Wild said. "You can fill out an application the day of our event, but no same day adoptions."
All cats will have all their shots, are litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
"We hope to see you at our event on Saturday," Wild said.
You may head to the Northport Cat Rescue website and fill out an application to let them know you would like to meet them or any of the rescue's other wonderful kittens and cats! Or you can call NCRA at 631-606-2631 or email info@northportcatrescue.org.
