NORTHPORT, NY — The Northport High School field hockey team is a dynasty.

The girls captured their second consecutive state championship on Sunday at Centereach High School, the Northport-East Northport School District announced. The Tigers defeated Cicero-North Syracuse 2-1 in overtime to secure their undefeated season and become the New York State champions.
