Longtime Criminal From East Northport Accused Of Suffolk Crime Spree
BREAKING: The man robbed two banks, stole from five stores and stole a car all within the past month, police say.

A former East Northport resident with a long criminal history was arrested Monday for committing multiple crimes, including robbery, grand larceny and petty larceny, police say.
Alan Lepre, 54, is accused of:
- Robbing TD Bank, located on Montauk Highway in West Islip, on July 2.
- Robbing Suffolk Federal Credit Union, located on Jericho Turnpike in Commack, on July 5.
- Committing third-degree grand larceny by stealing a motor vehicle from the Northport train station on June 29.
- Committing fourth-degree grand larceny for stealing $1,000 from Curtains and Home, located on Veterans Highway in Commack, on June 28.
- Committing fourth-degree grand larceny at Larkfield Lanes in East Northport on June 20.
- Committing petty larceny at Mavis Tire, located on Larkfield Road in East Northport, on June 20.
- Committing petty larceny at Sheer Elegance on Larkfield Road in East Northport on June 12.
- Committing petty larceny at Broadway Grooming, located on Broadway in Greenlawn, on June 27.
Lepre was arrested on Center Street in Bay Shore at 8:56 p.m. He was additionally charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for possessing heroin at the time of his arrest.

Lepre was convicted for robbing two East Northport banks in 2012 and spent two years in jail. He has been in and out of jail since 1992 for several different crimes.
He is being held at the Second Precinct in Huntington for arraignment.
