Man Fatally Struck By Golf Cart At Centerport Beach: Police
The man later died at the hospital after he was struck by the golf cart last week, police say.
CENTERPORT, NY — An 83-year-old man died after he was hit by a golf cart at Centerport Beach on Aug. 28, Suffolk police said.
The man later died at the hospital after he was hit at the beach, located at 239 Little Neck Road, police said. Detectives said the man's death "appears non-criminal."
A source told Pam Robinson of Huntington Now that the man fell and hit his head on a curb. The cart was operated by a Town of Huntington employee during a town-sponsored barbecue event at the senior beach house, Huntington Now reported.
